Founder

Obakeng Rachwene is the founder of Obakeng Photography. His love at first sight in photography was taken evidently to heart from an early age of 13 years old and has since been to preserving some life’s most precious moments.

Mr.Rachwene’s impeccable skill and eye took him to bigger heights of Commercial Photography when he was part of the team that did the reshoot for Netflix/Sowetan’s 40th celebration as a lighting designer in may 2021 June.

His magnetic obsession for the dream found him a stay in the heart of Johannesburg where he attended as a Camera Operation Student at the City Varsity and obtained his film and television diploma at Big Fish School of Digital Filmmaking.

His  filming love took its root from 2007, been part of the North West Film festival 8 weeks workshop as a groundbreaking crash course, he then proceeded to work in the Film industry with then GBR Productions shoot 3 series of Hillside drama series and that took him to bigger heights of Supersport International for six years as one of the most effective and valued producer of his time. Mr. Rachwene has in his field of expertise 25 years of hard earned experience which he draws from anytime he needs to embellish moments in life.
